5-Day Series · Emotional Healing

The Hard Work of Forgiveness

A 5-day journey through the hardest thing Jesus ever asked us to do. Forgiveness is not a feeling. It is a choice. And it changes everything.

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

The Journey to Freedom

I am not going to pretend this is easy. Forgiveness is not easy. It is not natural. It is not something you wake up one morning and suddenly feel ready to do. If you are carrying the weight of someone who hurt you and will not apologize, someone who broke your trust and walked away, someone who still holds power over your peace just by what they did, this series is for you.

We have been told to forgive so many times that the word has lost its meaning. We say it like it is a switch you flip. Like you just decide and then you are done. But forgiveness is not a switch. It is a process. It is messy. It takes time. And sometimes it takes years.

Five days is not enough to forgive everything. But it is enough to start. It is enough to understand what forgiveness actually is and what it is not. It is enough to begin putting down the weight you have been carrying.

What to Expect

  • Scripture reading and reflection each day
