When you pursue healing, you make an enemy of the devil. He does not want you healed because healed people are dangerous. They testify to others. They break the enemy's hold. They advance God's kingdom.
This is why healing often involves a battle. The enemy fights against your healing with everything he has. He brings lies, attacks, discouragement, setbacks. He wants you to give up.
But you are not without hope. You have authority in Christ. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Your Authority in Christ
Jesus gave you authority over the enemy. "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy" (Luke 10:19). This is not optional for spiritual elites. This is for every believer.
The enemy is powerful, but Jesus is more powerful. The enemy is cunning, but Jesus is wiser. The enemy is defeated, but he does not know it yet. And your healing exposes his defeat.
Fighting the Good Fight
Spiritual warfare is real. But it is not complicated. It is fought with prayer, faith, worship, and the Word of God. It is standing on what God says even when circumstances contradict it.
Your weapon is the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17). Your shield is faith. Your armor is the full armor of God. You are equipped for battle.
Pray Warfare Prayers
Pray specifically against the enemy's work in your healing. Bind the strong man. Speak truth. Use your authority. You are equipped for this battle.
- How has the enemy fought against my healing?
- What authority do I have in Christ?
- How can I fight spiritually today?
- What is spiritual warfare in my healing journey?
- How does knowing my authority change things?
- What would victory look like?
Pray: "Father, I put on the armor of God. I take my stand against the devil's schemes. I speak Your Word. I have authority in Christ. My healing is coming."
Jesus, I destroy the devil's work. I trample on snakes and scorpions. I overcome all the power of the enemy. My healing is coming. The enemy is defeated.
The enemy is fighting because he knows healing makes you dangerous. Keep fighting. Keep believing. Your victory is certain. The devil's work is being destroyed.
