Day Six · Kingdom Healing & Freedom

Walking by Faith

Healing does not always feel linear. Some days you feel whole, others you feel back at square one. Walking by faith in the middle of the journey is what moves you forward.

Healing Is Not Always Linear

If you have been in the healing journey for any length of time, you know this: Some days you feel amazing, like you have arrived. Other days you feel like nothing has changed at all. The wound that seemed healed suddenly seems raw again. The trigger you thought you overcame comes right back.

This is normal. Healing is not a straight line upward. It is more like a spiral. Sometimes you are at the bottom, sometimes at the top, sometimes in between. And sometimes you feel like you are back at square one, when actually you have come further than you realize.

The enemy wants you to believe that any setback means failure. But that is a lie. Setbacks are not defeats. They are simply part of the journey. The question is not "Will I have bad days?" The question is "Will I keep walking even when I do?"

What Does It Mean to Walk by Faith?

Paul wrote that we "live by faith, not by sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7). This does not mean faith is blind. It means faith is seeing what is not yet visible. Faith is believing what God said even when you do not feel it.

In the healing journey, you will have days when you do not feel healed. Your emotions will lie to you. Your circumstances will contradict what God says. The enemy will whisper, "See? It did not work." In those moments, you have a choice: believe what you see, or believe what God said.

Walking by faith is choosing to believe what God said over what you feel. It is deciding that you are healed because He said you are healed, even when your body does not agree. It is refusing to let temporary feelings override eternal truth.

Faith Is a Decision, Not a Feeling

Faith is not a feeling. Feelings are fickle. They change like the weather. If you waited to feel healed before you believed you were healed, you would never move forward. You would always be waiting for the emotion that may or may not come.

Faith is a decision to trust what God said, regardless of what you feel. You can decide to believe you are healed even when you feel wounded. You can decide to walk in wholeness even when you feel broken. You can decide to speak victory even when you are surrounded by defeat.

This is not positive thinking. This is spiritual warfare. This is choosing to take ground instead of giving it back. This is deciding that your healing is not a question of if, but of when. And you are moving closer to when every day.

When You Feel Like Giving Up

There will be days when you want to quit. When the healing seems too slow. When the wound seems too deep. When the enemy seems too strong. When you have tried and tried and nothing changes.

In those moments, remember: You are not alone. Thousands of others have walked this road before you. Many have felt exactly what you are feeling. And many have come out the other side. You are not special in your suffering. But you can be special in your persistence.

The moment you feel like giving up is the moment to keep going. The moment you feel like quitting is the moment to stand firm. The enemy wants you to believe that your healing depends on how you feel. It does not. Your healing depends on who God is. And He does not change.

The Progress You Might Not See

Here is something beautiful: You are probably more healed than you realize. Growth often happens incrementally, in ways you do not notice. The triggers that used to send you into spirals might now only cause a wobble. The memories that used to dominate your thinking might now only be occasional visitors.

You might not see the progress because you are in it. Just as you do not see a child growing taller every day, but only in pictures later, you might not see your healing until you look back. That does not mean it is not happening. It absolutely is.

The key is to keep walking. One day at a time. One moment at a time. One breath at a time. Keep going. Keep believing. Keep healing. Your breakthrough is coming. And it will be worth the journey.

I walk by faith, not by sight. My feelings do not determine my healing. God's Word does. I am healed because He said I am healed. I keep walking. I keep believing. I keep healing.

Track Your Progress

Write down three things today that are better than they were before you started this healing journey. You might not see progress in the moment, but looking back, you will see how far you have come.

Keep this list handy for the days when you feel like giving up. It will remind you that healing is happening, even when it does not feel like it.

  • How has my healing actually progressed in ways I might not see?
  • What lie have I been believing about setbacks?
  • What would change if I decided to walk by faith regardless of feelings?
  • When I feel like giving up, what helps me keep going?
  • How can I see my progress more objectively?
  • What does my future self want me to know about this journey?

Picture yourself one year from now, completely healed. See yourself wholeness. Feel what that feels like. Now look back at yourself today and whisper: "Keep going. It is worth it. You are almost there." Be your own cheerleader in the journey.

✦ ✦ ✦

Father, I choose to walk by faith, not by sight.

When I feel like nothing has changed, help me remember that healing is happening even when I cannot see it. When I feel like giving up, give me the strength to keep going.

I believe You are already healing me. I receive my wholeness as a done deal, even before I see it. My feelings are not the final word. Your Word is.

I keep walking. I keep believing. I keep healing. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Healing is a journey. Some days are harder than others. But every step forward is a step toward the wholeness you were created for. Keep walking. Your healing is coming. And nothing can stop what God has started.

With honesty and hope,
Claire
