About This Site

The Cracked Vessel with Claire is a space for Christians who want to walk closely with God, not just on Sundays, but every single day. It's built around devotionals, Bible studies, and practical resources that help you grow in intimacy with the Father, friendship with Jesus, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and a confident understanding of who you are in Him.

Think of it as a quiet corner of the internet where you can slow down, go deeper, and be reminded of what truly matters.

This site is for anyone who is hungry for more of God. Whether you've walked with Him for decades or just started asking questions about faith, there's something here for you.

It's especially for those who are tired of surface-level Christianity, who want something real, something that holds up in everyday life, and something that actually meets them where they are.

The Cracked Vessel with Claire is not a church and doesn't replace one: it's a personal devotional space run by Claire Cormier. It's meant to supplement your walk with God and your connection to a local community, not substitute for it.

If you're not connected to a church and are looking for one, that's something Claire would actively encourage. There is something irreplaceable about gathering with other believers in person.

The Cracked Vessel with Claire is broadly evangelical and charismatic in spirit, rooted in Scripture, centred on Jesus, and open to the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. Claire doesn't align with any single denomination, and the content is written to be accessible to Christians from many backgrounds.

The non-negotiables here are the authority of Scripture, the saving work of Jesus Christ, and the reality of a living, personal relationship with God.

About Claire

Claire Cormier is a wife, mother, and devoted follower of Jesus who came to faith in 1999 through a radical encounter with God that changed everything. She's been walking with Him ever since, learning, growing, stumbling, and being lifted back up.

The Cracked Vessel with Claire grew out of her personal walk. She writes from the place of someone who knows what it feels like to be empty, and who knows the fullness that only God can give. She's not a theologian or a pastor: she's a woman who loves God deeply and wants to share what He continues to show her.

"I started this space because I believe that everyday people need everyday encounters with God, not polished religion, but real, living relationship with a Father who loves them deeply.", Claire

No, and she'll be the first to tell you that. Claire is not a formally trained pastor or theologian. She is a deeply committed Christian woman who has spent many years studying Scripture, sitting with God, and learning what it means to walk with Him in the everyday.

Everything on this site is written from that personal place. It's always encouraged to weigh what you read here against Scripture, and to seek out pastors and teachers in your own community for deeper theological guidance.

Claire is based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, but The Cracked Vessel with Claire reaches readers all over the world. God's Word has no borders, and neither does this community.

The Content

The Cracked Vessel with Claire is home to several types of content, all centred on helping you grow in your walk with God:

Devotionals Thoughtful, Scripture-rooted pieces on topics like intimacy with God, identity, the Holy Spirit, and Kingdom living. These are the heart of the site.

Bible Studies Deeper, multi-day studies for when you want to go further. The first one, You Are the Bride, is a 7-day journey through your identity in Christ.

Resources Pages like Bible Myths vs. Biblical Truth, Christian Q&A, a Prayer Guide, and more, practical tools for growing in faith.

A Start Here page If you're new, this is the best place to begin.

New devotionals are published regularly, though not on a rigid schedule. Claire writes when the Spirit leads, not to fill a content calendar, which means what you read here is always written with genuine intention, not obligation.

The best way to know when something new is published is to subscribe to the email list. You'll hear from Claire directly when there's something worth sharing.

The Start Here page was made exactly for you. It gives you a clear overview of the site and points you toward the best content for where you are right now.

If you're completely new to faith or just beginning to ask questions about God, the New Believers page is a warm and gentle place to start. And if you've been walking with God for a while and want to go deeper, head straight to the devotionals and pick a topic that's been on your heart.

The devotionals are personal and reflective: they're written to stir your heart, deepen your faith, and help you encounter God in everyday life. They're meant to be sat with slowly, not just read quickly.

The Christian Q&A is more informational: it answers the real, practical questions that Christians ask: about prayer, the Holy Spirit, heaven, the Bible, and how to live the faith. It's a reference resource as much as it is a devotional one.

New to Faith

Yes. If you're curious about God, about Jesus, about what Christians actually believe: you are welcome here. This site isn't written to judge or exclude; it's written to invite.

A good place to start is the Salvation page, which answers the most important question of all: what does it mean to begin a relationship with God? There's also a gentle New Believers page for those who are just starting out.

Welcome to the family, seriously, welcome. The New Believers page was written with you in mind. It covers the foundations: what just happened when you gave your life to Jesus, how to pray, how to read the Bible, and how to start growing.

After that, the devotionals on Intimacy with the Father and Friendship with Jesus are a beautiful next step. You don't need to know everything: you just need to keep drawing near.

More than okay. Doubt is not the opposite of faith, fear is. Many of the greatest people in Scripture wrestled deeply with God, and He met them in that wrestling. Bringing your honest questions to God is a sign of real relationship, not weak faith.

This site doesn't pretend that faith is easy or that everything has a tidy answer. It's a place for honest, searching hearts, and you are welcome here exactly as you are.

Connecting

Yes! Claire loves hearing from readers. If you have a question, a prayer request, or simply want to share what God has been doing in your life, head to the Contact page and reach out.

Claire reads every message personally. She may not always be able to reply immediately, but she does read and pray over what she receives.

The email list is the best and most direct way to stay connected: it's where Claire shows up most personally and consistently. Social media can be noisy and distracting, and this community values the quieter, more intentional rhythm of email.

If social accounts exist or are launched in the future, they'll be linked here and mentioned in the newsletter.

Please do, with a kind heart and a proper credit back to The Cracked Vessel with Claire. If something here has encouraged you, the best thing you can do is share it with someone who needs it. That's exactly why it exists.

If you'd like to reproduce content in a significant way (e.g. for a church bulletin, a publication, or a course), please get in touch first. Claire is happy to discuss it.

Just ask! Head to the Contact page and send your question through. Claire reads every message, and if your question is one that others are likely asking too, it may even end up on this page in a future update.
