Everything you find here is free, on purpose. If something you've read has helped you open the Bible with a little more clarity or hope, and you'd like to help keep this space going, you can. Completely optional.
The Cracked Vessel with Claire exists because I believe Scripture is meant to be walked into, not feared, not rushed through, and not reserved for experts. I write for people who want to understand the Bible but aren't sure where to start… or who've started many times and quietly stopped.
I'm not trying to build a brand or run a business. I'm just someone who loves Jesus and has learned, slowly and sometimes the hard way, that the Bible becomes less intimidating when you stop trying to "master" it and start letting it speak.
This site is where I share what I'm learning, one door at a time. Every devotional, every reflection, every "door" in the One Story series is written with one hope: that someone reading might feel less alone and more invited.
And because I never want money to be a barrier, everything here stays free.
There's no organization behind this and no layers of overhead, just the practical costs of keeping a site running and the time it takes to write carefully and consistently.
Hosting, domain fees, and tools are ongoing costs. Support helps keep the lights on, without ads and without paywalls.
New doors, devotionals, and series take real time to research and write well. Support helps protect that space.
The goal is simple: anyone can come here, anytime, and find something helpful, no account, no payment, no pressure.
If giving isn't possible, or simply doesn't feel right, please stay. You're still completely welcome here. Sharing a link, telling a friend, or sending a short note of encouragement helps more than you might realize.
And if you do choose to contribute, thank you. If you don't, thank you for being here. This space exists to be a blessing, not a burden.
If you'd like to help cover the practical costs behind the scenes, you can contribute any amount through PayPal. It's secure, simple, and in Canadian dollars. You don't need a PayPal account to give by card.
If giving isn't possible for you right now, please know that you are just as welcome here. Come back any time, read freely, and know that your being here matters.
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
