Ten foundational convictions rooted in Scripture: the theological ground this ministry stands on.
The Cracked Vessel is not a formal institution or denomination. These statements reflect the biblical convictions that shape every resource, devotional, and study on this site. They are offered with humility and an open hand: an invitation to explore, not a boundary to enforce.
Each statement is drawn from Scripture and held with conviction. Where the Bible speaks clearly, I speak clearly. Where it leaves room for mystery, I leave room too.
Fully true in all it affirms and sufficient for teaching, correction, and spiritual formation. It is not merely an ancient text: it is God's living Word, active and relevant for every generation.
Equal in glory, power, and divinity. Not three gods, but one God in three distinct persons: a mystery the Scriptures affirm and the human heart was made to know.
Born of a virgin, sinless in life, crucified for our sins, risen bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and returning again in glory. His resurrection is not a symbol: it is a historical event on which the entire Christian faith rests.
Not by works, effort, or personal merit. Through repentance and faith, we are forgiven, justified, adopted, and made new. There is nothing we can add to the finished work of Christ, only receive it.
He empowers us for holy living, spiritual growth, intimacy with God, and ministry. The gifts of the Spirit continue today and operate under biblical wisdom and love. He is not an experience to be chased: He is a Person to be known.
God calls every Christian to participate in a local church for worship, discipleship, community, and mission. The Church is not a building or a programme: it is God's family on earth, called to carry His presence into every corner of the world.
Because of sin, we are separated from God and in need of redemption through Christ. This is not a statement of condemnation: it is a statement of need, and need is exactly what the gospel was designed to meet.
We grow in holiness not by striving, but by abiding in Christ. The Christian life is not a performance for God: it is a response to His love, and it is walked out in daily dependence on Him.
Present through Jesus and advancing through His people, yet awaiting full completion when He returns. We live between the first coming and the second, participating in a Kingdom that has broken in but not yet fully arrived.
Eternal life with God for believers, and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him. These are not comfortable truths: they are serious ones. They are also the reason this ministry exists: to help people encounter a God worth knowing for eternity.
